Is Your Online Program Launch-Ready?
Are you ready to launch your online program? It seems like a pretty simple question, right? One that can be answered with a simple yes or no. But, as with every new offer you create, there’s a lot more that needs to happen before you can hit that ‘launch’ button and soar straight to success.
So, now that you’ve created an online program for your next offer, it’s time to sit down, ask yourself some crucial questions, and paint a clearer picture of whether your offer is truly launch-ready. Let’s get into it!
Is your offer clear and straightforward?
First, you need to make sure that your offer is clear and straightforward. In other words: It solves a problem people know they have, and through your offer, they’ll get a solution.
For example, say you’re a nutritionist who helps people develop a nutrition plan to support their energy levels. As a result, you position your online program as a plan for sustained energy. While that’s good and fine, maybe your audience’s problem is about sustaining energy – it’s about preventing burnout. See the difference?
To some creators, those are the same thing. But to the consumer, they’re not. Bottom line: You need to be able to answer definitively:
- Who your program is for
- The problem(s) it helps solve
- What the end result will be
Is the curriculum finished?
Okay, so this one might seem like a pretty obvious question and answer. But the term ‘finished’ can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people, so it’s important to make sure that you take all the necessary steps to move ahead with your launch. That may look like:
- Saving your content and materials in the appropriate format
- Finalizing your pricing
- Determining the length of your online program
- Setting a limit on the number of participants/attendees (if applicable)
- Having all of your design elements finalized
Having a ‘finished’ curriculum is so much more than dotting your eyes and crossing your t’s. It’s about making sure it’s completely finalized and ready for launch tomorrow.
Do you have success stories related to your criteria?
Seeing (or hearing) is believing – especially when it comes to anything we purchase online. So, in order to get buy-in from your audiences – and enhance the success of your online program – it helps to support all of that with success stories.
Whether it’s your own personal success story, a case study, or successes from clients, social proof will only add more value to your online program. It helps audiences actually visualize the end result of their investment, reaffirming that they made the right choice and that what you have to offer is valuable.
Even if this is your first time launching your offer, you can still share outcomes that you’ve delivered to others. Let’s say you’ve gotten results for 1:1 coaching clients and now, inside your online program, you’re sharing the same framework you used for those clients. That’s still a success story! Just make sure you’re being transparent that these people haven’t gone through the program, but you know how to deliver results.
Do you have the right tools and supporting materials to sell your online program?
Finally, you need to make sure you have the right platform and technology to actually launch and sell your online program. Because it’s one thing to create and finish your program on paper, but another to publish it live for the world to see. To that extent, it’s important to double-check and finalize details like:
- Your sales page (psst! We have a sales page template for that)
- Your online shopping cart
- Any promotions or discounts related to the launch
- Automated email sequences for program materials, updates, live sessions, etc.
- Other tools or programs you and your audience will be working out of (like for supplemental online communities)
- Supporting launch materials (like promotional social assets and emails)
