Should You Use ClickFunnels for Your Offers or Launches?

At Launch BFF, we talk a lot about the strategies necessary for successful launches, offers, and sales. But we’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about the different types of launch platforms that are needed to make it all come to life, right?

Because we know the research and selection can be overwhelming for entrepreneurs and small business owners, we’ve decided to feature a handful of different launch platforms to help out along the way. Think of it as (mostly) objective research and advice from your (Launch) BFF without having to do any of the work yourself. If only every decision could be made that way.

Anyway, we’ve already done a deep dive on Kajabi – including what it is, the pros and cons, and how to use it for launches. Which brings us here to our next platform feature: ClickFunnels*.

You’ve probably heard and seen as much about ClickFunnels as you have Kajabi. But with so many features to explore, pricing options to consider, and everything in between, the decision-making process can get murky…and fast. That’s where we come in with everything you need to know about ClickFunnels, so you have what you need to make the right decision for your biz. Let’s dive in!

What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels can do a few things for your business. At a high level, it’s a lead generation platform that helps automate your sales and marketing strategies. For launches and offers specifically, ClickFunnels can help you build smart and optimized landing pages – otherwise known as sales funnels.

As for who uses ClickFunnels, it’s pretty much fair game to any small business owner or entrepreneur who has products or services to sell, like:

  • Coaches
  • Strategists
  • Marketers
  • Motivational speakers
  • Web designers
  • Promotional agencies
  • And so much more

What we love about ClickFunnels is that it makes the entire sales funnel process less intimidating. Whether you’re brand-new to the game or have years of experience, this platform can help you build a sales funnel in 10 minutes. Kind of wild, right?

Pros of ClickFunnels for new or existing offers

Right off the bat, one of our favorite features of ClickFunnels is the drag-and-drop editor. Which means building your landing pages and sales funnels is simply a matter of…dragging and dropping. So, if you’re not quite up-to-par when it comes to technical skills, you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing you won’t need them for this platform. However, in the instance you do need some additional support, ClickFunnels also offers customer support and training for all users – not just those who are willing to cough up extra fees.

Here’s a look at some other benefits of ClickFunnels (and how it can help with launches):

  • Most of what you need is in one place. You can manage your landing pages, emails, forms, and more all in one dashboard.
  • You can generate (and nurture!) new leads. Through the platform’s order forms, you can gain additional information about customers for future sales and email marketing.
  • Automate your email and Facebook marketing. Send reminder emails, retargeting ads, and more – all automatically!
  • It’s great for business owners who have affiliate programs. With ClickFunnels, you can sell your products and services through your affiliates (and manage commissions!).
  • You can save lots of time, money, and outsourcing. Creating landing pages and sales funnels usually requires developers, third-party apps, and coding. With ClickFunnels, you won’t need any of that!

Cons of ClickFunnels

As with any platform, product, or tool, there are some downsides of ClickFunnel to consider. First and foremost: The pricing. Compared to other launch platforms, ClickFunnel has higher-than-average pricing. So, if you’re on a limited budget, that can be a pretty significant pain point.

Next, even though your sales funnels can come to life by dragging and dropping, it can take a lot just to get to that step. In total transparency, we feel that the overall user experience is a bit overwhelming and confusing for beginners or first-time users. With those hurdles, it can make the learning curve a bit steeper than we’d prefer for our BFFs.

Finally, we have to call out the template designs. Even though most sales funnels are structured similarly, we feel that ClickFunnels’ templates are repetitive and don’t leave a lot of room for high-end design or customization. In other words: They don’t look the prettiest. Of course, when you’re trying to sell your products or services, the design of your sales funnel isn’t everything. But it certainly makes up a lot of what customers might think of your brand and business.

Bottom line

ClickFunnels has the potential to be a great asset for your future launches or offers. If you’re ready to whip up a straightforward sales funnel and don’t need a lot of bells and whistles, go for it! But if you need something that’s a little more user-friendly, budget-friendly, and has more features to actually scale your business, you might want to keep your eye on other options.

The best way to decide? Trying it out for yourself! ClickFunnels offers a free 14-day trial*, so you can actually put the tool to use and get some first-hand experience.
