Is Kajabi Right for Your Next Launch or Offer?

It’s no secret that there are thousands of different tools and platforms that all claim they can help sell your offers and scale your business. Ok, so maybe not thousands, but it can certainly feel that way when you’re doing your own research and see all sorts of ads and articles talking about the “best platform for XYZ.”

Whether you’re just now trying to choose a platform for a new offer, or you’ve gotten to the point where you’re managing several different tools because they feel safe and familiar, we get it. And we can’t say we blame you for choosing “the most popular platform” or staying in your comfort zone.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, though! As the launch pros ourselves, we’d be remiss not to dish about our favorite platforms – and how they can help you. Today, we’re highlighting one in particular: Kajabi*

If you’ve created a digital product like a course or have planned out a new site launch with multiple offers under your belt, you’ve likely heard of Kajabi. But if you haven’t been curious enough yet to explore it, we’ve got you covered with all the details, including how Kajabi can help with your next offer…and much more.

What is Kajabi?

First up, let’s all get on the same page about what Kajabi is, exactly. It’s an all-encompassing platform designed to help you sell and scale your skills (say that five times fast). Those skills can be in the form of:

  • Courses + mini-courses
  • Coaching programs
  • Memberships
  • Digital products
  • And more!

Using Kajabi’s dashboard, you can create, market, and sell your digital products – all in one place! Beyond that, you can also do things like:

  • Send + manage emails
  • Process payments
  • Design sales funnels
  • Track metrics
  • Set up automations

The best part? You don’t have to create anything from scratch. Kajabi has templates for virtually everything, making it that much easier to create and launch something in less time (oh — and we have Kajabi templates that will help you customize your Kajabi site or offers even more).

How to use Kajabi for your next launch or offer

Now comes the most important question: How exactly do you use Kajabi for your launch or offer? Maybe you don’t have the time (or patience) to dig through all the features or sit through another demo. Or maybe you’re fed up with dozens of free trials that never pan out.

Well, you’re in luck, because we’re breaking down how Kajabi can help with your next launch or offer, so you’re better equipped to make the right decision for your biz. Let’s dive in!

Create your product

First, you’ll need to create your product within Kajabi. As we mentioned before, that can be anything from a mini-course to a digital product to an entire bundle. If you’ve built the details out elsewhere (like in a Google Doc or a different platform), you can simply copy and paste all the details into Kajabi, and they’ll bring everything to life automatically. Seriously, it’s that easy.

Create your offer

Once your product is fleshed out, it’s time to create the offer for your product. In other words: all the nitty-gritty details of your launch, including:

  • Pricing
  • Payment options
  • What’s included
  • Special discounts or promotions
  • Bonus products

The great thing about Kajabi is that you can fine-tune so many details to create offer after offer after offer. For example, if you want to include a freebie in your next launch, you can add it. If you want to include a 30% discount for those who sign up for a longer-term membership, you can add that, too. If you have an affiliate program and want to include commission, you guessed it: You can add it!

What we love most about this part of the process is that everything inside Kajabi is super intuitive. Even though you can do a lot with your offer, the platform does a great job at keeping everything simple and easy to use. Creating your product and offer is essentially like filling out a form with all the details, then Kajabi puts it all together for you. It’s pure wizardry!

Build your automated pipeline

Here’s where you really start to see the payoff with Kajabi. As we all know, successful offers aren’t a set-it-and-forget-it thing. It takes a lot of priming, pruning, and patience to sell your offer…and scale it. Kajabi understands this aspect of business and has some great features to set you up for success.

After you create your product and offer, you can build automated pipelines (Kajabi’s fancy term for sales funnels, basically) for your launch. That pipeline can include landing pages, email sequences, and automation triggers – all of which have templates ready for you to use. By creating an automated pipeline, you’re essentially setting yourself up to make sales on autopilot. Who doesn’t love some passive income?!

Continue to nurture your leads

Remember the priming, pruning, and patience we just mentioned? You’ll still need that as you continue to nurture your leads through Kajabi. How can you do that, exactly? Tons of ways, including:

  • Adding an upsell to your offer (suggest another product, offer a future discount, etc.)
  • Sending reminder emails to people who abandon their cart
  • Creating email sequences for purchasers
  • Sending newsletters to your growing email lists
  • Building audience segments and filters to fine-tune and personalize your emails and touchpoints
  • Sharing future offers, events, freebies, etc. to build brand loyalty!

And, in case you didn’t see this one coming, you can do all of this inside Kajabi. Even better, you can make all of these touchpoints automatic, so all the work is done for you. Think of all the time you could save with a feature like that!

Pros and cons of Kajabi

Like with any tool or platform, there are pros and cons to Kajabi. From our perspective, though, the pros far outweigh the cons. Here’s why:

  • The platform is incredibly easy to use. You don’t need technical skills or in-depth training to learn how to use Kajabi.
  • It’s great for newbies. If you’re a first-timer to selling digital products or offers, it’s very beginner-friendly.
  • Templates, templates, and more templates. Nothing you build for your launch has to start from scratch. Kajabi has templates for virtually everything, and they’re all customizable.
  • You can track your success. On top of all the other incredible features, Kajabi also has reporting, so you can see what’s working and what’s not.
  • Everything is in one place. No more juggling dozens of tools – you can create, sell, and market your offers in one central location.
  • It easily integrates with other tools. If there are some tools you just can’t part with – or still need – it’ll likely integrate with Kajabi. Some of the most popular integrations are Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Mailchimp, but you can also connect other third-party tools through Zapier.
  • There’s a mobile app! You don’t have to be tied to your main computer to run your biz. You can do lots of things through the app, too!

As for the cons of Kajabi, we really don’t have any – other than the cost. It can be fairly pricey for newer entrepreneurs who don’t have a lot of cash flow upfront. That’s why we suggest doing a cost analysis to make sure it’s worth it.

For example, if you know you’ll use every single feature of Kajabi, it’s probably worth the investment. We love that Kajabi doesn’t throw in a bunch of crap that no one needs or knows how to use – it basically has everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Part of your cost analysis can also be comparing what you pay for your current tools vs. what you would pay for one tool that likely does all the same things (and maybe even more). You also want to consider how much time Kajabi can save you, because we all know time is just as costly as paying for something.

Think about it: If you don’t have to spend time toggling from tool to tool, managing different platforms, learning how to use different platforms, duplicating work across tools, and everything in between, the time and energy savings alone might be worth the cost.

And, to make the investment decision easier, Kajabi offers a free, two-week trial. They want to make sure you have enough time to decide whether it’s the right fit for your business. On top of that, they have different plans and pricing to choose from, and you can save even more money when you opt for annual billing.

Bottom line

Hopefully, you have a much clearer insight as to what Kajabi is, how you can use it for future launches, and whether it’s the right investment for your business. At Launch BFF, Kajabi is our go-to platform to create, market, and sell new offers, and we can only hope you love it as much as we do.
